Does this mean that Tony lives??

Art Spiegelman is the voice of the 20th and 21st Century

This man is a genius, author of #maus.  I'm sure if he lived in the UK, he'd be protesting against the likes of Jeremy Corbyn and his party of the many.

Well worth a read.

Art Spiegelman: golden age superheroes were shaped by the rise of fascism

Tonight's Viewing.

Linda loves this movie and so do I.  One of the best Marvel movies *ever*.   We will be watching this on 4K UHD HDR Blu Ray on our 65 inch 4K UHD HDR set in 5.1 Surround.  I love my wife, she has amazing taste!

Edit 21:53 - It was even better second time around.  Brie is a positive role model for young women and girls who aspire to better themselves.  The haters and trolls should be ashamed of themselves.  Shame on you.

Brie Larson for the Win!  Such a gorgeous babe and a brilliant actor!  Go Brie, Go Brie!  We love you, Go team Brie!  #brieforstarwars

What do they call the #briehaters?  Oh yeah....woman hating misogynistic gun obsessed incel idiots.  Oh the humanity.

Edited to Add - Not going to taint this blog with certain people's lies. By acknowledging their existence, Linda and I give them power and dominion over us. Which is exactly what they crave. #sad

Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker (potential theories/spoilers)

Only a few more months to go now.  I'm rather looking forward to this to see how the final trilogy of the Skywalker Saga plays out.

Mental Health - for anyone who lives with depression and anxiety

#thethe

Nostalgia!

I have to admit, the #dracula lolly was tastier but the trading cards in the #space1999 was awesome.

In other news, it's been a fraught 24 hours as River (one of our three rescue cats went AWOL - we let her out into the garden and she decided to go on an adventure somewhere) but thankfully she's back now!  Little f*ckr.  We've stopped her pocket money, grounded her and cancelled her weekly Beano Comic from the local newsagent.  Kidding aside, lovely to see her come home.  Never has a cat had so many hugs...

Midweek Malarkey!

Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Even though the presenters are seen as a bit "trite" in the UK, this is a great video and raises awareness of the pathways that lead to suicide.

Another, very useful resource.

I hear sounds in my mind! (previously posted but I LOVE IT!)

The Lawnmower Dog - Where are my testicles, Summer?

Best #rickandmortyepisode *ever*

Keeping one's eye on the horizon.

Edited to add:

In order to keep my spirits up - I need to remember there are good things about to happen.  Linds and I are off to Orlando later this year!  I am sure seeing the Falcon will reduce me to bits!  And....looking forward to exploring all the #disney parks #lionking #indyjones et al.  Although, excited to build my own lightsabre, pilot the falcon, hug #chewie and meet #porgs.

And this!  My tolerance for carbs is not good but protein....count me in.  Linda is getting obsessed about the #funnelcake and #mickeypretzels

This is our first holiday in 3 years due to us both losing parents (my mum, Linda lost her mum on Boxing day 2017).  Looking forward to feeling some sunshine and experiencing good times again!

The work that this charity does cannot be quantified in words. Thank you.

Telephone 116 123 (in the UK).  They are great listeners and are there to support you when needed.

Magnificent Monday!

Revisited.

Counting one's blessings.  After a sketchy weekend, things are on the up.  Received news that the mortgage is paid off and the endowment is exceeding all expectations.  Like a cherry on the top of a fantastic ice cream sundae.  Chipper!

*Shakes Head*

I wasn't going to post about this publicly.  A concerned but anonymous person left a message on this blog stating that a couple of people who we both knew have been making baseless accusations (and threats) against myself and Linda. (I made contact with the anon and they confirmed a rather shocking story which I was privy to but never spoke about before, and for not speaking out about it, well, I feel like I supported the actions of a vile individual).

This eventually led to said individuals posting our home address online.  I do not have Twitter (it's a vile thing) and I am not responding to them or engaging with them.  Period.

However, history will have a habit of catching up with people like this. I might rattle a few skeletons out of the closet but it will not come to anything.  When you're dealing with serial liars who bend facts to make themselves look like the victims, well you're backing the wrong horse.  The same as with questionable organisations who wish to bury bad news #metoo.

In other news, things are good.  The St John's Wort is working (as a herbal supplement) and I now take it every other day.  Linda and the cats are well (although River has gotten into the habit of licking my hands or face at stupid o'clock in the morning.

Fun stuff planned for today, I hope.  It will involve a drive somewhere and some walking.
