Daily Photo #175

I just like this shot of Linda. We took this set last year in Sutton Park. Some bemused ramblers, dog walkers and cyclists stopped to watch but apart from that it was a great and fun shoot.

I think the light and frivolity shines through in this set. Apart from the fact she was dying for the loo and was a bit cold out there.

More flowers folks.

These reminded me of a cheerleader's pompom. That reminds me, I have six eps of Heroes to watch.

The weather in Stratford was very nice today.

Makes a change not to have rain!

Daily Photo #172

This was taken in Manchester last year. I just like the reflection in the table, giving a spooky ghost image.

IMG_3878

This was probably one of my favourite sets to shoot, I love shooting in swanky hotel rooms!

Vertigo is back for a while but hoping it will sod off soon.

This one was taken in NYC 2007, I do like the colour and the way it fills the frame.

Daily Photo # 170

I think it's about time for another pic of the Selfridges building.

Weather in the UK is the suck right now, hence no new photos for a while. I aim to change this over the next 2 weeks.

I have probably posted a similar image from this set before but I like it, and in keeping with the comic book/science fiction theme of yesterday, here's my homage to Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's series, UFO.

Just back from the new Indy Jones movie. I think the final Dark Knight trailer shown in front of it spoiled me a little. Roll on July.

Random fact about me - I love Star Wars.

IMG_0947

I guess it's a bit sad but I happen to love the original trilogy. Stormtroopers en masse look a bit camp though.

Daily Photo #166

Well, today was interesting. I was doing a work project visit in Brinklow, near Rugby. It was almost Lovecraftian in that everything shuts after 2pm and the streets clear. All you can hear are birds and silence.

Although I didn't have my camera, I thought today's entry warranted something inspired by HP Lovecraft.

In addition, it was the place that doesn't want you to leave. I missed one bus and ended up having to wait just over 2 hours for the next one. Thankfully, it wasn't piloted by a skeleton.

Can't wait to go back!!

Yes, I am being all intertextual and referencing a piece of music by Pat Metheney when I'm talking about the title of this shot.

I like this one of Linda at the Hoover Dam in Arizona. She looks a bit official and more than a little FBI'ish.

_MG_0115

Hoover dam is an amazing site, well worth a look if you're in AZ. Not sure why I posted this today, guess I am just missing fun stuff like holidays and getting out. It all seems to be work work work right now.

I quite like this shot, I think the composition works.

Yes, I am still a dirty great hippy who finds beauty in nature.

After visiting the museum in Birmingham I could not resist this, being a Dr Who geek and all.

Are you my mummy? Sepia and aged in CS3

Still, I have always thought that gasmasks are super creepy!

My photo buddy named this one "Paws for Thought". Rather fab I think!

Birmingham has loads of canals and they're always a fantastic location to use for any occasion.

I never knew that you got snow in Arizona.

I love statues, especially decayed or broken ones because they always manage to tell a story.

Angel #1

Although, this one always makes me feel a little melancholic.

Another vista of that building we "found" yesterday.

_MG_2079

I have two offers of people who want to take part in the shoot so far! Should be a good one so watch this space :)
