Coney Island seems to become more and more deserted each time we visit. Less people wander the boardwalk or the beach and even fewer go towards to outdated and slightly spooky rides.
I'm not sure if it's a sympton of issues surrounding disposable incomes but no matter how much of the boardwalk they replace, Coney is in danger of losing its heart.
