(Not so) Guilty Pleasures: The The - This is the Day.

This combines two of my favourite things, a very obscure movie called "Static" and one of my favourite songs of all time.

Well you didn't wake up this morning 'cause you didn't go to bed
You were watching the whites of your eyes turn red
The calendar on your wall was ticking the days off
You've been reading some old letters
You smile and think how much you've changed
All the money in the world couldn't buy back those days
You pull back the curtain
And the sun burns into your eyes
You watch a plane flying
Across a clear blue sky
This is the day, your life will surely change
This is the day, when things fall into place
You could have done anything, if you wanted
And all your friends and family think that you're lucky
But the side of you they'll never see
Is when you're left alone with your memories
That hold your life together, like glue

Therapy Tuesday and Med Detox update

Therapy sessions:  They are getting better as weeks roll by.  I've made a *lot* of progress.  And, for all the stuff (family skeletons), I'm not too badly adjusted but still room for improvement.  Also, I don't tolerate fools/liars/idiots or those who have double standards too well.  I need to build on and improve on that.

Detox from awful anti-depressants - 6 weeks (I think?) into a 7 week detox programme.

Physically - getting better, no more vomiting but still have to keep hydrated and throat is very dry during the night. Sleeping better (aside from waking up in the early hours after bad dreams/anxiety episodes but I think that is more due to residual fears/accumulated experience).

Mentally - as my therapist said "You seem sharper, more assertive, less passive and more open".  My brain and cognitive processes are faster, sharper and more "in the moment" if that makes sense?

We discussed my family history (not going there as it's not for public consumption!) and "people" (think crap hypocritical Solihell married swinger types) out there who I pretty much wish would vanish but they are like snot on a door handle

Worthless, annoying, they have no value in wider society (or the world, for that matter) but their hubris/smugness/privilege/cultivation of influential people (who they think will give them kudos as they have no inherent skills be they artistic or otherwise, hence they are also social parasites) will lead them into their own miserable hell.  And good riddance to them.  Especially if they ask you the question "Are you happy?".  You get the picture.

So, yep, progress is being made.

(Not so) Guilty Pleasures: The Walking Dead - S9 Episode 15

Heartbroken and feeling emotionally destroyed after watching the most recent episode.  Three of my favourite characters are now gone.

I am really loving how the producers are handling the show right now

(I adore how Michonne's sword sounds like something from this movie).

I am hoping that Michonne goes full on Ogami and Daigorō with Judith in tow until they finally kill Alpha and Beta in a stream of violence that could only spring from the mind of Frank Miller or the best #manga.  I would be so bloody excited if there was this kind of scene (in conversation with a friend who knows people who might be connected to people and, there is a blizzard a coming - my thoughts or at least a wish list scene.  Not naming names as I value my friend's privacy).

This is not a scripted scene more of a wish list - although, they (my source, I love saying that!) do state that Carol might have another "go look at the flowers" moment which, could...well, I will leave it at that.

I envision Michonne, back to back fighting with Negan in a snow covered field, the camera would be hovering above them as both them decimate whisperers with precision, no energy wasted

The main colours on the screen would be white (snow) and red (blood). We would hear the sounds of #lucille and *that* sword as Whisperers are dispatched without mercy, left and right.

This isn't anger, it's rage - and efficiency. No strike is wasted. Every parry and hit from the two protagonists is focused and pure. Negan is the Ying to Michonne's Yang. Perfect balance.

As limbs are removed, Michonne and Negan are caught in a moment of rest, their eyes lock, we see their breath in the cold air, they go back to back again, creating a defensive pose as another round of Whisperers take their turn to face our heroes.

This isn't an abattoir, it's surgical euthanasia
