In other news, leaping into Monday is like taking a cold shower with a dose of reality on the side. Today has been spent doing investigations which can be both tricky but rewarding. Come 3pm today I was feeling a little more cynical than is the norm.

Cultivated thistles? We had some in the garden. They seem to grow well in Acocks Green - but have sometimes had to explain that they are MEANT to be there!

These were spotted in Stratford. We keep having to justify a nasty case of bindweed right now and I would welcome the thistles at this precise point in time :D
