Linda and I have been giving the Mini a spin today. Was around Warwickshire and Bassett's Pole for a fair chunk of the morning. Linda thinks it's the bee's knees, I have to say. Much nicer than the evil, green Matiz.



Back home, chilling and watching more 30 Rock as we speak. New sofa is most comfy too! Laters!

Last night = bit of a disaster. It went so cold we had the bright idea of popping the heating on for a bit. Not an issue really but as soon as we hit the heating putting something went pop. Ok, all lights go out, not an issue as we have a circuit breaker fusebox. So, hit the reset switch right?

Nothing. Nada. Not a sausage.

Only one plug outlet working upstairs. So around 7:30 pm, we sit there like cavemen (well, caveman and cavewoman). After much rerouting of extension leads to save freezer food etc we decide on an early night.

About 1pm we have power back, it seems that some of the cicruit breakers had built up some kind of corrosion on them and needed replacing. Still, nice to have light, warm food, hot water etc.

Anyway, moans aside, while waiting around I went and shot some photos as I had to take the day off work.




Back to the 21st Century for me with all those new fangled devices such as kettles, telly and broadband :)

A superb weekend and lovely time spent with Linda. Anyhoo, just thought she looked a bit "other worldly" here and that sums her up perfectly.




Back to the grind for the Monday thing but good thoughts all round and some bits and bobs of news:

Doing a "Jason Bourne" film season on bluray, although the Richard Chamberlain version on DVD will remain hidden. Go Matt Damon!

My anti-depressant meds have been reduced by 50% and things are good (fingers crossed)

Linda picks up her new car (well 2nd hand, one previous owner), a Silver Mini (one of the recent updated "One" series) over the next couple of days. Women who drive silver minis are hot! (well, my lady anyway!)

And other things I am too much of a gentleman to disclose ;)

Well, nothing is broken in my back and have been told to rest up by the doctor and not to sit in a chair of any description for the next few days.

So dammned tired as I am not sleeping though as I each time I move it wakes me up. Also not eating much either but hey-ho. But on the other hand, I have the netbook and can talk to the ether here!



Anyway, gotta try and get downstairs to let the cats back in for some food and to get me a diet coke.

Grr...arg..grr. Had a bit of a nasty fall on Saturday and have done something to my lower rear back (luckily missing my spinal column!). It was my own silly fault (and that of gravity, to a degree) but I cannot sit up, lie down or walk and I have a Doctor's appointment tomorrow. Self diagnosis says it feels like a small hematoma just above one of the bones in my lower back but going to get it checked all the same (and it could have been a lot worse).



Anyway, Linda has been feeding me anti-inflammatories and this photo is to remind me how cool she is. Thanks missy, back to lying on the bedroom floor for me now.
